War on Terror

Although the attacks of September 11, 2001 may seem like a distant memory, a strong national defense remains vital. Our troops have fought bravely against terrorism worldwide, and they are continuing the battle in Iraq and Afghanistan. After a long struggle, we are seeing signs of real progress in Iraq. Afghanistan remains a real challenge. Congressman Dreier has been committed to providing our troops with the resources they need to effectively wage the global war on terror and provide them with necessary support when they return home.

Dreier has also been a strong supporter of giving our intelligence community the tools they need to track foreign threats in foreign countries, while preserving our civil liberties here at home.

A strong national defense is the primary responsibility of the federal government and Congressman Dreier has never wavered in his commitment to ensuring one.

  • Congressman Dreier has consistently voted to give our troops in the field the funding and resources they need to complete their mission.
  • Congressman Dreier recently supported a bipartisan compromise giving the intelligence community the tools they need to track foreign threats to our national security.
