Congressman Dreier joined his fellow House Republicans in Washington
this week to protest the Democratic Leadership’s outrageous abuse of
power in blocking a vote on a comprehensive energy package. Dreier went
back to Washington in the midst of the traditional August break to
demand Speaker Pelosi bring Congress back to work. “There’s no excuse
for Speaker Pelosi not allowing a real debate on real energy solutions,”
Dreier said. “The American people need an all of the above energy
policy - alternatives, conservation, and responsible domestic
exploration. We have the bipartisan support to do it, but Speaker
Pelosi has said no over and over again. My hope is that she will allow
us to work together to do what’s right for the American people.”
