Congressman Dreier (R-Sam Dimas, CA) called on students and parents across the Foothills to celebrate National Teachers Appreciation Week, May 4-10, by thanking their teachers for their leadership, guidance, and sacrifice.  Congressman Dreier recently supported a resolution recognizing the roles and contributions of America’s teachers to building and enhancing our nation’s civic, cultural and economic wellbeing.  “Teachers make a difference every day and they deserve thanks every day,” Dreier said.  “National Teachers Appreciation Week serves as reminder that teachers make unparalleled contributions to the current and future strength of our country.  I hope that all teachers receive recognition this week for all they do for our communities.”  Congressman Dreier recently voted to approve H. Res. 1130, a resolution to recognize National Teachers Appreciation Week, as well as resolution encouraging the establishment of a National Teacher Day to honor and celebrate teachers in the United States.
